He has also served as a Director or Managing Director for several renewable energy assets in various parts of the world, including Europe, the Caribbean and Asia.

Werner Coppye is a co-founder and the Chief Technological Officer of 3E, responsible for the definition and the implementation of the technology roadmap of the company’s business units. Since 1999, Werner has been actively involved in the company’s business development in energy systems for the built environment, solar and wind energy technical advisory work and product development of the SynaptiQ software platform for renewable energy asset management. Before creating 3E as an IMEC spin-off in 1999, Werner was the R&D manager at Philips Hearing Implants, responsible for the development of the terminal equipment for the fitting of cochlear implants. He previously was a project manager at IMEC in Leuven, first active in the optimisation of high yield crystalline silicon solar cells and later in the study of photovoltaic solar energy systems. Werner is co-author of several publications in international publications and is also regularly invited as guest lecturer on sustainable energy concepts. He graduated as an electro-technical engineer in micro-electronics from the “KU Leuven” (Catholic University of Leuven Belgium) in 1992.

He is one of the founding members of inAccess, where now holds the position of senior product manager and UK country manager. He has played a significant role for driving the product from its birth to a multimillion business with presence in Europe, Asia and America.
Ioannis holds a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the NTUA and an MSc on “Communications and Signal Processing” from Imperial College London. He has also attended the Executive MBA of the AUEB.

Sab is the Technical Asset Manager at Quercus Investment Partners Limited and works within the Asset Management team responsible for managing Quercus' assets in UK and Eastern Europe. Quercus specialises in utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure investments and currently owns around 280MW of assets comprising of Biomass, Solar PV and Wind power plants. The Asset Management team recently concluded a competitive European O&M tender, boosting the total NPV of the Solar PV assets by up to 9%. Previously, Sab was working with Syzygy Renewables in London as a Project Engineer and Asset Manager managing the deployment and operation of solar PV plants for some of UK and Europe's largest REITs, Pension Funds and Listed companies like Land Securities, British Land and Aviva Investors. Sab has an MSc in Sustainable Energy Technologies from University of Southampton and a Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India.

Within this role, he is in charge for sales and development of solar energy services, e.g. independent engineering services or component testing / certifications. After his studies, he worked as a senior consultant for a global consulting company in the field of risk management for industrial clients. During this time, he gained valuable knowledge of business processes and risk management. In 2010, he started working for TÜV Rheinland as a project manager in the business field “Solar Energy”. Francesco Girardi is Senior Director of Engineering and Project Operations for Bluefield Partners LLP and Managing Director of Bluefield Services Ltd. He and his teams are based in London and Bristol. Francesco leads specialist solar PV engineering and asset management teams whose current responsibilities range from EPC and O&M contract negotiation to asset management including overseeing contractors during all stages of construction, commissioning, testing acceptance and operation of the solar PV assets owned by Bluefield funds which account for 400+MWp to date across 74 plants.
Prior to joining Bluefield, Francesco has worked in REC Group as Country Manager for the solar photovoltaic construction business, REC Systems Italy, where he was responsible for contracting and constructing over 70 MWp installed capacity comprising 26 ground and roof top sites and 24 plants in operation and maintenance. Francesco has also been a former Babcock & Brown Program Manager managing a pipeline of 170 MWp projects developed in Greece and 300+ MWp in Italy.
Francesco has served as Managing Director of REC Systems Italy and of a number of Italy based solar energy asset companies. He also served as Board Director for one Greek based solar energy assets holding company.
